Biography

I am a Virginia based custom woodworker and designer. I specialize in creating unique studio quality furniture as well as fine cabinetry and millwork. Overall, I'm an artist that makes functional art for everyday life.

I graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. I’ve always been an artist at heart, but it wasn’t until my senior year when I took a class on furniture construction and design that I became interested in woodworking. The more time I spent in the shop that semester the more I realized woodworking was something I wanted to pursue for a living.

After graduating college, I moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia where I entered immediately into an apprenticeship under two master craftsmen. In a short time I excelled through the apprenticeship and into a cabinet maker position. I have completed projects all throughout Virginia, DC and Maryland and continue to work on both commercial and residential jobs. You will find my work in universities, hospitals, government offices, churches, homes, and so on. I have also won two national woodworking competitions, several industry awards for craftsmanship, and have had my personal work published in Fine Woodworking Magazine five times over the past few years.

I am currently located in the Warrenton, Virginia area.  My wife Laura and I have 3 children; Addison, Matthew, and Emily. When I am not in the shop, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you want to share ideas, collaborate on a piece or ask me to design and create the unique piece of furniture you’ve always wanted.

Soli Deo Gloria,
